Microsoft is Making Huge Profits as it Benefits from Covid-19 Shifts

Many businesses are closing due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is not true for all. Microsoft posted its earnings release for the first quarter of 2021. And they are enjoying good earnings in different industries.

Microsoft released press at their Investor Relation blog. According to its report,  Revenue was $37.2 billion and increased by 12%. Operating income was $15.9 billion and increased by 25%.  Net income was $13.9 billion and increased by 30% and diluted earnings per share were $1.82 and increased 32%.

Where other companies are struggling for their survival, How Microsoft increase its revenue by 30 percent? 

The major strategy behind the success of Microsoft in Covid-19 is that people are working from home to save themselves. Microsoft adopted this change and facilitate people to work from home. They update and innovate their cloud base services and hardware as well. Their productivity and business earnings increase by 11 percent. In cloud services Microsoft office 365 business revenues increase by 21%. Microsoft launched its cheapest surface laptop to work from home and rise up by 37 percent. Microsoft’s product LinkedIn revenues increase by  16 percent.

Microsft’s CEO says that “In the next decade the success of a company will depend on how much they make innovations in their digital transformation”
